Cocos nucifera designed by Takahiro Murahashi Last year, when he held a solo exhibition at ON READING in Nagoya, I learned about Mr. Murahashi's existence, which I had not heard of until then due to lack of study.
I was thinking of going to Nagoya right away to see a solo exhibition, but then I heard that there was a traveling exhibition in Tokyo the following week, so I went to Jingumae Utrecht to see the exhibition on the first day.
I was overwhelmed by the unique worldview of artist Takahiro Murahashi (Guse Ars), who presents his works using collage and bricolage techniques.
We immediately contacted them, and despite all the twists and turns of the coronavirus pandemic, we finally decided to release it. It is neither a single color print nor an inkjet print.
The monochrome artwork is reproduced with multiple editions of silk printing. Please call it Cocoyashi.
