This is a reproduction of the field bench used by the British Army during the war.
It is long enough for two to three people to sit on and the legs can be folded down and stored flat.
This is a product that we hope will gradually develop a unique character as the paint peels off and rust develops with use.
Taking advantage of its small depth, you can use it freely as a TV stand, display rack, etc., depending on your convenience.
Personally, I think it's easy to use when two people sit down and have drinks nearby. Note: It is relatively easy to fold and unfold.
1. First, loosen the wing screw in the center and remove or shift the "retaining plate" to pull out the "tension rod."
2. After spreading the legs, insert the left and right tension rods into the two holes in the center.
3. Finally, place the "holding plate" on top and tighten the thumbscrew to complete the setup. * To store the unit, follow the steps in reverse.
Note: We used structural plywood as we wanted to create a wild surface look.
Knots, gaps, and scratches from the material itself will be visible underneath the paint, but this is the texture we were aiming for.
Also, when you sit down, the center bends downwards slightly and your legs spread apart, but this is the same specification as the military bench used as the sample.
If this bothers you, you can improve the situation by connecting the left and right legs with a tie-down or something similar to prevent them from opening.
