The Trek series is produced in collaboration with MOUNTAIN RESEARCH.
The design incorporates a wealth of ideas from Setsumasa Kobayashi. The unique panel cut-outs give the item a new look.
While following the details and specifications of authentic mountain parkas from the 70s, the overall size balance and pocket position have been updated. The highlight is the large "inverted pleats" on the back.
The pleats can be opened and closed with a zipper so that they can be worn over a backpack. This item can be used for festivals and light hiking, as well as a spring coat. It goes well with the Trek series items that have been released so far. This item was created in collaboration with Mountain Research. The hood has the same brand's piqué label.

I talked to Kobayashi about making an item that combined the best parts of a mountain parka and a poncho, and this back-opening mechanism was created. This unique cut-out was also Kobayashi's idea. I tried to create a look like the gradation of different materials that is common in nylon mountain parkas. I used a lighter and softer material than usual so that it can be worn for three seasons.
