Mercato is the largest market in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
MASENQO RECORDS, a record store about the size of a shack, sits quietly in a corner of this market, which is not visited by many tourists due to its poor public safety. We carry only vintage made-in-Africa vinyl such as Ethio-Jazz, Lingala Music, and Benga, and our rare records are sold at prices as high as ``a house could be built in Ethiopia'' among European and American African music enthusiasts. are piled up messy and flat, covered in dust, all the way to the ceiling.
Even in the late 2010s, when information networks were developed, it was still unknown to all but a small number of enthusiasts. This was due to poor public safety and the store owner's lack of motivation (there were no signs and no music was playing inside the store).
This T-shirt was created by Tacoma Fuji, expressing their respect for the urban legend-like Masenko Records, saying, ``We would love to see them sold in Addis Ababa.'' However, no matter how long I waited, I never heard from Masenko.
Nara suddenly changed the sales schedule in Ethiopia and decided to release this T-shirt, Sea of Love, as a new product.
